I am a 36 year old M2F transsexual, who is currently in the process of transitioning. I live with my wife (we just celebrated our 14th anniversary over the July 4th weekend) although we only consider ourselves married for legal purposes. I have two children - one boy (12) and one girl (10).

Like so many, I have known since about the age of five that I was female. Rather than trying to understand what I was going through, my parents chose to try beating the girl out of me via seemingly endless punishments including physical and mental abuse. Eventually I gave in and for a long time I was only willing to deal with my constant feeling of displacement one or two days a month when they became unbearable (I called these my "blue days" as I was usually very depressed and frequently tried to physically hurt myself as relief for what I was suppressing). After dealing with growing stress from ongoing family issues including my mom's alcoholism and the loss of my job for an extended period of time I simply decided that I'd had enough. I began seeing a therapist in February and over the last few months I have been dressing/acting/being more the woman I have felt I always was in preparation for living full time at some point next year. I plan to start hormones on my birthday next Jan and if everything goes according to plan, I will be going 100% soon after.

My wife has known about my issues since we met, and she has told me she is willing to stay with me even though I can no longer live/be the husband she wishes me to be. We have begun working on an alternative way to define our relationship as "marriage" no longer really fits. Recently, we decided it best to talk our kids about what I have been dealing with, what I plan to do, and how it will affect them. They now see me as a woman far more often than not. There have been some rocky moments over the last five months, but our family is currently stable and everyone appears to be dealing with what is happening about as good as can be expected. Many of the family members we have spoken to about my plans on the other hand, have not taken it so well. I have decided for the sake of our children that until we sort out how our families are going to handle my situation (and how we in turn will handle their decisions), I am holding off on full-time living.

Image"Imagine if all your life you wanted to be say, a fireman. Every time you try to dress like a fireman, pretend to save cats from trees or put out fires, everyone around you told you that you were sick, that you needed therapy and that there was something seriously wrong with you. You eventually end up with a fireman costume that you keep hidden, and put on every so often in secret so everyone thinks you're normal. You've known from a very young age who you wanted to be, but for some reason no one else seems to understand or accept it."

If you don't know where I'm going with this, then consider yourself lucky!

Hello I am a 24 year old heterosexual crossdresser from Sussex By The Sea, England! Been an on and off for about 5-6 years now though have always felt like a guy that sometimes externally wanted to express his fem side! I tend to mostly crossdress at home ( I am single and got my own flat at the moment just want a understanding friendly GG!), and sometimes the odd party if open minded girl was willing to help me out with makeup! I am happy and comfortable as I am in general proud of both my macho and fem appearances!

Look forward to chatting to people here about crossdressing or life in general! Got a good photo somewhere as well!

The Place to Introduce Yourself

Postby Andree Paris » Tue Jul 13, 2010 3:11 pm

Hello,
I'm Andrée, 55 yo, living in France (suburb of Paris) and under the process of MtF transition.
I started my THS one month and a half ago, have appointments for laser face hair removal, and speech doctor in order to get a more feminine voice very soon (next month).
In the past, I've been a transvestite for most of my life starting at 6...
I've managed my priorities, and the last one is mine... A liitle bit late but at least I get it!
I'll come back for the latest news on a regular basis,
Kisses to you all
Andrée ;)

Hi everyone, I'm Jan Brown.. a married hetro CD/TS living in NYS (north of NYC). I cofounded my local support group, Mid-Hudson Transgender Association (MHVTA) and it's been going for over 10 years. I have presented a workshop entitled as "Some Thoughts About Running a Transgender Support Group" at several conferences including IFGE, First Event, Southern Comfort, Liberty, Empire and Fantasia Fair as a way to share my experiences to help others. I have been helping with Fantasia Fair for the last 2 years and am currently the programming chair. As I said, I'm married and actually was let go by my company so I figure I'm on the cust of retirement.. it is what it is. My spouse knows about Jan but has never met Jan nor seen a picture of Jan. I've learned that again, it is what it is. I try to get out 4 or 5 times a month. I am pleased to be allowed to participate with you all. Have a wonderful day. Huggs, Jan (I'll add a picture when I figure out how)

Perhaps you can tolerate my discovery of this "Site" as I don't know how to reflect a photo of myself for your benefit. I am TG and 67 years old living in Dallas Texas. Married, I do not go out as Marilyn in Dallas because too many people know my wife. But I am Marilyn 24/7 when we travel to places like London or Paris or New York City and such. I have been crossdressing since about 7 years old just as most of you by borrowing my mother's and sister's things and then my own things and then sharing all things feminine with my wife. Maybe this forum will be helpful and fun. . . . I hope so.

I have had desire to wear nice skirts, dresses etc for some time now and just recently made the decision to "bite the bullet" so to speak and broach the subject with my partner.

She has bought me clothes and makeup and enjoys making me over. She is a guru of fashion and makeup and is helping me with my look.
So far I am a bit shy about going out but she says if we get it right, (just needs practice) then she'll support me when i'm ready to venture out.
I couldnt have wished for better, as she is 100% behind me and is proving so helpful in realising my "dream".
We have read a number of the posts and would like to say thanks to all for the tips etc. keep up the good work.
Sorry to be so long but I'm on cloud nine with my "new life"

Hello ladies!

I'm KenetaO of Durham NC in the U.S.A. I'm 60 years young! Retired from my career of 33+ years with a small evening job that keeps me in outfits and shoes, don't get me started on the shoes! Has everyone seen those new Jeggins! I'm getting some tomorrow!

I have been dressing for many years, started back when I was 12 years old when I discovered that I really enjoyed dressing as a girl. I began with the things at my Aunt Martha's bedroom. I went through her panty drawer, felt the material and I was hooked at that moment! I couldn't wait to get them on my body, next came the bra, the slip, the hose, heels and dress! I felt wonderful!I have taken time away from my passion, but I'm back and the alure has not deminished, it is as strong as it was when I slipped on those first pair of silk panties almost 50 years ago!

Sweetness and Love,
KenetaO

Hi all,

im Caroline.Like a lot of crossdressers I have been crossdressing for a long time secretly,in fact i,v been crossdressing for about 47 years.I have been divorced now for 8 years, and have 6 grown-up children none of which know I crossdress.

It was in fact my crossdressing that effectively ended my marriage of 25 years.I used to hide my female clothes and one day my wife found them and emptied them on the table in front of me,Could,nt really deny it.

I am in a new relationship now and have not told my partner I dress although she does have a very good friend who is a transexual.

I adore wearing fem clothes and I must admit that I do get a sexual thrill when I dress, especially fully dressed.I have been out late at night fully dressed but it scares me that I will get stopped by the police.I think my best experience was when I went out fully dressed one night in leather mini-skirt nice satin top, bra, panties, suspender belt and stockings, heels.I felt great I had a nice coat on and a bag, then I froze,I saw a group of blokes and girls walking towards me.I was quite expecting to get the verbal abuse from the blokes but to my surprise none of them said anything when got passed I turned round to see if they were watching me and saw one of the girls bashing her boyfreind and saying "stop looking at her legs"you can imagine,I felt ecstatic about not only passing for a girl but the blokes ogling me ha ha .

I am very convincing when dressed.I am lucky because I can quite easily get into my ex wifes clothes, she left quite a few,and she was size 10-12,I even get into her shoes.

Anyway I have only just found the site so I will have a look, and look forward to sharing some of our experiences.

Hi lovely gurls,

I'm also a gg, living in New Jersey, USA. I have been in a long-term relationship with a man who wants to eventually transition, but who for now still dresses in private except for the occasional support group meeting. He is also very confused about his sexual orientation. In the end, we decided it was better for both of us that we were better as best friends, since he was so unsure about his gender and sexuality. It's been such a learning experience for me. Not only did I find that I was great at helping him dress and apply makeup (why not? I'm a makeup and clothes junkie myself!), but I began devouring any book I could find on transgenderism and crossdressing. Soon I started reaching out online and had t-girls writing to me from all over the US, and I began making appointments with gurls at local malls to help them shop when they were too scared or shy or just needed some hand holding. I'm glad I found this forum--I too would like to offer whatever support I can. There ARE open-minded women out there--we DO exist, as friends, and as romantic partners. We may be few and far between, but we're here.
